No. WalletOrigin has no custody of funds and no access to your private keys. You sign a message, not a transaction. We never need a seed phrase, token approval or permission to move funds.

Ethereum and EVM chains, Solana, Bitcoin, Cosmos, Sui and Aptos. You can verify addresses across these chains from one account; wallet extension support varies by chain.

Yes. Anyone can check a wallet address or domain without an account or API key. Public browser checks have abuse-prevention rate limits and are separate from the plan quotas for the key-authenticated developer API.

It means we found no active, publicly listed proof for your query. The address could be unregistered, unlisted, or have a missing or stale DNS proof. It does not necessarily mean the address is malicious. Always confirm the intended domain and full address before sending.

DNS records are re-checked on a daily schedule, subject to processing capacity and DNS availability. Public proofs require a successful DNS check within the last 48 hours. Proof pages display the last check time. Wallet signatures are checked when you add the wallet; DNS monitoring does not prove continuing possession of its key.

A missing DNS record makes the proof inactive after the next failed check, and the proof stops appearing publicly. We send a failure email when delivery is available. Restore the record and re-verify to reactivate it. If you lose or compromise a wallet, remove its proof immediately: an old signature cannot detect a lost key or recover your funds.

Yes. Disable public listing in your dashboard. Unlisted domains are excluded from the public checker, directory, proof pages and badges, and from other users’ API results. Your own API key may still retrieve your active unlisted bindings.

ENS provides readable names and address records, including DNS-name imports using DNSSEC. WalletOrigin focuses on checking an address against a company domain, many wallets per domain, multi-chain signature proofs and shareable badges. It uses a DNS TXT record without requiring DNSSEC or an on-chain transaction. The services can complement each other.

Yes. The lookup API accepts an address and an optional chain (recommended), and requires an API key. Free includes 100 lookups per day, Pro 10,000 per month and Business 100,000 per month. Keys support scopes and rotation. See Documentation for request formats and errors.

Free covers 1 domain and 3 wallets at $0. Pro is $19/month or $190/year for 5 domains, 50 wallets and 10,000 API lookups/month. Business is $79/month or $790/year for 25 domains, unlimited wallets, 100,000 API lookups/month and teams with roles (up to 10 seats). Wallet limits are totals across your account. Yes. Cancel through Manage subscription in Settings; paid access continues to the end of your paid billing period. Annual subscriptions are billed upfront. Our Refund Policy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee; email contact@mertl-luxury.com to request a refund. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. After paid access ends, Free limits apply to new additions and API usage; existing records are not automatically deleted.
